Flex ability

So, technically I'm on holiday. But, I can't resist doing a few hours here and there. So I do a little Amazon Flex.

For anyone who hasn't heard of it. It's an app based delivery program run by Amazon. It allows anyone to deliver Amazon parcels in their own vehicles, when they choose. After passing relevant background checks.

Work is released in blocks. Three hour four hour etc. You pick any that you can do, and the app will guide you to the station, and all relevant drops. I'm not going to explain about the app, Amazon has videos to teach you that, but I have advice that will help.

when you pick up a job at the station, you get a delivery sheet. It will have your areas with codes at the side. Each parcel will have one of those codes, so you can tell which area they are for. Area 1 is your first area. Put those parcels on your front seat if you're in a car, back door if you're in a van. Second area back seat, or middle of van. Third area boot, or head board. For each area, put boxes and letters in separate piles. Saves time later.

Now look at your first five drops, get those parcels ready, in order. Saves time searching for each drop. When you deliver the fifth, get another five ready.

Also if customers are not in, text them don't phone. They rarely answer the phone, but often reply to texts.

Take a high viz from Amazon if offered. It makes it easier for customers to see who you are. Easier to hold pens, phone and not in cards.

Carry a flash light, flask and a few snacks. Remember you are representing Amazon as well as yourself, so act accordingly.

Finally, have fun with it. You won't get rich, but you will get some extra income, and it is enjoyable, if you are a people person.
