Christmas silence

The lull after Christmas. Something all delivery drivers are familiar with.

Just before Christmas, it's mad. Your van is bursting at the seams. The hands on your watch appear to be going too fast, stealing time from you that is desperately needed. The phone is constantly ringing. Home is somewhere to change your socks before dishing back out.

Then it's Christmas. You look at your phone to check if it's on. Blow cobwebs from the van, and watch the shrinking bank account, praying for the next job.

The life of a driver is never dull.
